Greetings. Welcome to this website I've named HiddenWithin. Please enjoy the wonderful photos, images of this world and beyond (credits can be seen on the Contact page). My name is Gary Heller. I live in Mount Tremper, NY.
If you've gotten this far no doubt you have some interest in the matters we refer to as spirit and spirituality. For a large number of years I have practiced (and continue to practice) a truly excellent path called the Diamond Approach. After these years of sustained and dedicated attention this practice has born remarkable fruit.
One facet of what has appeared is Guidance to share what I have come understand and know. To share this with others - such as yourself - who may have an inkling that, or may feel certain that, or just seriously wonder whether there is more“here”than meets the eyes and ears. “Here" meaning not only this world, the entire universe, but in particular "here" could (and should ) refer to oneself. Indeed there is more; much much more to this world, the universe, and especailly to you. This "more" is of a wholly different order than what one would ordinarily imagine. It is not the familair. However, with some assistance and guidance - as is traditional - that“more" can come to be known, understood, and in time, embodied and lived. As the website's name implies it is within, but for most of us remains hidden. It is obscured, but it is there. It is your True Nature. It is you.
There is a lovely space in Chichester, only a few minutes beyond Phoenicia, where I intend to offer myself and what I know in service and humility. You are invited to participate in a most meaningful endeavor, one that has the potential to be fulfilling beyond imagining. There is an email on the Contact page you can use and I will reply with further details. Once (or if) people respond I plan to host three introductory meetings, after which, if any individuals feel inspired and are so moved, we will form a practice group that will meet regularly and be ongoing. It needs to be ongoing so we can learn and practice The Work - as it is sometimes known - as it asks us to. Then, in time, we may see what germinates and what fruit is born. I envision a group where we can practice and learn and create a vehicle of inspiration, enthusiasm, and support for each other; support for what can feel to be a daunting and sometimes uneasy journey toward the Truth of ourselves. This is the inner work; the inner journey to our True Self. This, for the curious and courageous.
I am not an official Diamond Approach teacher, but I love this path and know it well. My teachers are aware and supportive of this movement; this unfolding. The Diamond Approach is a contemporary spiritual path that was brought into the world through the mind, heart, and body of Hameed Ali (aka pen name: A.H. Almaas). It is a new path, a rare miracle, arising within our western culture and civilization, appropriate for our time and circumstance, remarkably comprehensive, and quite approachable for those who are genuinely serious about wanting to know The Truth; to know that indeed they are The Truth. It is an authentic Way, a marvel and a gift. On the Resources page, along with some book recommendations, there are links to two videos of Hameed Ali speaking and teaching. This may be the easiest way to get a sense of what this is about. Hameed is one of the truly great particular Beings of this time. It will be worth your while to hear him.
